Make your laughter a force for good—come down to the Alma Tavern on the 25th April, from 7pm onwards, for Action on Poverty’s very first comedy fundraiser!
———————————–
????Two LOVELY BOYS—Joe Kent-Walters and Mikey Bligh-Smith—will be making the journey to see you (yes, you!) from the far reaches of Huddersfield, Yorkshire. the Lovely Boys will be serving you a healthy slice of ‘cracking physical comedy’ (Chortle.co.uk), with a side order of ‘tremendous knockabout chemistry’ (TheScotsman.co.uk). You heard that right, physics and chemistry!????https://www.facebook.com/thelovelyboyscomedy
Not only are they contractually obliged to wear their favourite jumpers, they’re also here to show you exactly what’s what about the funny and excellent comedy talent that Bristol has to offer. That talent will include:
???? MILLIE MALONE, the ‘people’s princess of Bristol comedy.’ Having won the Bristol Smoke and Mirrors Gong Show and been a shortlisted BBC New Comedian of the Year, Millie brings a unique voice that is as morally dubious as it is flirty and charming. Her surreal and punchline heavy sets have taken her to the Edinburgh Fringe, BBC radio and some of the most renowned clubs in the UK.
???? The ‘spoken word phenomena’ (Voice Magazine) that is T.S. IDIOT, a multidisciplinary artist bringing the strange, the riotous and the tender to life in scorchingly good punk poetry ???? https://www.facebook.com/tstheidiot
???? ALICE-INDIA GARWOOD—once described as ‘the personification of charisma’ by Kiri Pritchard-McLean, Alice-India is a 2Northdown New Comedian of the Year Finalist 2021 and all-round electric????performer. Adorable, loud and intensely awkward—expect nothing short of a great time!
????Ever seen a mullet and been immediately reminded of the rise of global sea levels? No? GREG CURZON has and he’s here to tell you about it—with diagrams! Greg’s comedy is absurd, silly and *hand-drawn* :0
There will also be a raffle????camel postcards for sale????exciting fundraising opportunities to get involved with in the future????and exceptionally good times to be had????

100% of the proceeds from ticket sales will go towards helping Action on Poverty provide vital support for people living in extreme poverty.
