Ballet Bristol is the ballet company for Bristol and its communities. Our company is formed of amateur and ex-professional dancers, who bring performances to people in care who wouldn’t otherwise be able to experience the dance, the music and the costumes that come together in an enthralling ballet.
Our Gala show includes our own interpretation of Swan Lake, created by our Artistic Director, Siân Wade, and La Bayadère. Swan Lake is the timeless story of Odette the white swan, Odile the black swan, the evil Rothbart, and the Prince who is tricking into betraying his true love. La Bayadère is the tragic story of Nikiya the temple dancer, who is in love with Solor, but he is promised to the Rajah’s daughter Gamzatti.
This is an amateur performance, with lavish costumes and compelling music.
