Join us for our second Bring Down the Haus: this month a night of poetry and music exploring voices often unheard. We will have performances from Leilah King, a gay footballer and coach, mental health advocate and stand-up poet based in Bristol, who’s debut poetry collection Midnight Picnics in Tehran was published by Burning Eye Books. We will also have Helen Sheppard, a Bristol based writer who worked as a midwife, who’s poetry explores themes of birth, health and loss. (+ a few extra guests)!
