Singing is a joyful group activity, it does wonders for our wellbeing and has been used throughout history – to come together, to celebrate, and to tell stories.
John Wesley’s New Room have brought together stories and songs to share aspects of Bristol’s history you may be unfamiliar with. The theme for this informal workshop is based around John Wesley’s proclamation, ‘the whole world is my parish’. We will take a closer look at Methodism’s influence across the country and the world. The workshop will include a taster of songs in different languages, as well as introducing a special musical number!
The workshop will be led by our Community Choir leaders and registered Music Therapists, Meg and Sara. The session offers a chance to see real objects, hear first-hand accounts and be inspired to make a difference in your own community.
This workshop is a ‘pay what you can’ session. Recommended donation: £5
