Multidisciplinary artist Dana Awartani presents her first European solo exhibition exploring cultural heritage, loss and healing, using traditional crafts and collaborative practice to bridge the ancient and contemporary world. Steeped in historical and visual references from Islamic and Arab art-making traditions Standing by the Ruins III draws together installation, painting, textiles, film and performance, including a major new commission and Awartani’s poignant Venice Biennale installation.
