This summer, Hidden Gallery presents a rare opportunity to view and purchase original and hand-signed artists’ posters by some of the biggest names in modern and contemporary art, such as Picasso, Warhol, Hockney, Emin, Paolozzi and more.
These striking works, created to promote exhibitions and prominent cultural events, blend fine art with graphic design and pop culture. More than just advertising, these posters are significant artworks in their own right and occupy an important position within art history. For many artists, designing a poster was the gateway to a lifelong passion for printmaking.
Original posters were designed to be temporary, which makes surviving examples in excellent condition incredibly rare. Hidden Gallery’s new collection offers a unique chance to encounter these vivid relics from a pre-digital era. They serve as windows into pivotal moments in art history, politics, and culture, capturing artists at their cultural zenith. Exhibition highlights include a vibrant poster by Warhol, featuring his self-portrait, and a dazzling poster from 1953 by Chagall which was produced during his legendary time in Vence.
