Holysseus Fly, the solo project of Ishmael Ensemble singer and keyboardist Holly Wellington creates lush, alternative pop tinged with soul and jazz influences has become a journey of personal & creative reclamation.
Most recently, she won audiences with her Glastonbury debut, plus a headline-worthy mainstage performance at Forwards Festival sharing alongside CMAT, Jessie Ware and LCD Soundsystem.
Her EP A Red Sea (September 19th), an expansive alt-pop collection that’s both emotionally charged and unflinchingly honest. Embracing themes of empowerment, self-determination, and release, the record showcases Holysseus Fly’s most expressive songwriting to date. Delivered with both immensity and vulnerability, it reveals an artist unafraid to explore life’s rawest edges while still reaching for the light.
