Sahara Longe: The other side of the mountain
More details: https://arnolfini.org.uk/whatson/saharalonge/
British artist Sahara Longe presents her first institutional exhibition exploring memory, identity and the divided self through her semi-abstract paintings inspired by childhood memories, the nostalgia of old photographs and Doris Lessing’s pivotal novel The Golden Notebook (1925). Featuring a new body of work The other side of the mountain captures the fleeting moments of life, employing literary and cinematic devices to create a space where our past, present and future selves can coexist and converse.
