How to take on the right-wing press

Activism Local Democracy public meetings Talks
  • 14/08/24
  • 18:30 - 19:00

The Media Reform Coalition and the Bristol Cable are joining forces for an urgent discussion on the right-wing press’ role in spreading disinformation and stoking hatred in our communities.

Following a week of far-right violence, including a riot in Bristol, it is more important than ever to take on the corporate press and hold them to account for their complicity in causing hate and division.

Join us for a discussion with local activists, independent reporters and media campaigners on how we can build a truly democratic local media, with journalism that serves the public rather than the interests of populists and billionaires.
