More details: https://arnolfini.org.uk/whatson/tapestryofblackbritons/
A powerful, evolving artwork curated by Paula Ogun Hector and woven by Dash + Miller, celebrating 1,500+ years of Black presence in Britain. Inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry and African and Caribbean textile traditions, the project highlights overlooked contributions, beginning with Black service people of WWII to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day. Featuring new woven panels, soundscape by Gary Stewart, and contributions from artists, communities, and storytellers, including Adeche Atelier and students across the UK.
