Worms Theatre Company presents The Banality of Evil. A collection of comical and absurd sketches exploring how the well-balanced individual is insane. Is the ordinary person wicked if they comply to normalised forms of insanity? We have a culture of ambivalence in the face of a crumbling world. A political system that maintains power by inventing devils. We crave connection yet build walls.

Worms Theatre Company is a Bristol-based collective bridging activism with theatre. Our sister project, Creative Space for Youth, runs weekly sessions at Adventure Playground. Using theatre and art practices to explore the creative potential of young minds. All the proceeds shall fund this project and sponsor 15 young ones to attend a professional play at The Bristol Old Vic.

The Banality of Evil shall also include a workshop using techniques from the Theatre of the Oppressed. The Theatre of the Oppressed is a participatory theatrical practice that uses interactive performances to challenge societal issues, aiming to inspire dialogue and social change. To imagine new worlds and maybe move towards them. Join us in building resilience and resurgence through the power of theatre.
