🌱 A Celebration of Community, Creativity, and Collective Power! 🌱
On March 22nd, The Bristol Commons is taking over Trinity Center, inviting Bristol to participate in a full day and night of workshops, live music and radical community action! This festival celebrates two years of collaboration—bringing together the people of Bristol to reshape the future of our beloved city through shared power, creativity, and solidarity.
With the cost-of-living crisis, ongoing cuts to arts and community spaces, and growing inequality, this festival is a vital and hopeful event for Bristol.
🌟 Why You Need to Be There
✨ Connection – Meet and collaborate with changemakers, activists, and organisations working to transform Bristol.
✨ Collaboration – Participate in a powerful People’s Assembly, co-hosted by The Bristol Commons and Trinity, to help shape a collective vision for community-led change.
✨ Celebration – Enjoy live music, storytelling, and creative performances whilst fueling yourself up with delicious food from @coexistcommunitykitchen and @twotreescateringbris
✨ Evening Magic – As the sun sets, experience an outdoor fire and an (indoor) jam session. Then an open-mic that transitions into an electrifying traditional roots reggae dance powered by 1Relation Sound System, along with special guest Black Omolo – Militant Kenyan Dub Queen travelling from Holland. Bringing you the best of roots dub & reggae.
Programme:
The festival will focus on three key themes shaping Bristol’s future:
🎨 Music & Arts – How can we protect and nurture Bristol’s creative culture?
🌱 Health & Care – Exploring community-driven solutions for well-being and mutual care.
🏠Housing – Let’s reimagine fair, sustainable, and shared living spaces for all.
We’ve received lots of incredible, inspiring session proposals, from speakers and workshop facilitators. Our event design team are currently shaping the offering into the festival’s programme. Stay tuned for more details in the coming days!
