Guidance on events that will not be appropriate for the Cable Community Calendar

We aim for this calendar to be used by as many individuals and groups as possible in order to promote all the good work that is going on in the city.

However we reserve the right to not publish events at our discretion and without providing a reason. Events that are unlikely to be accepted on the Cable calendar include:

  • Events organised by political parties
  • Events with tickets prices that may make attendance inaccessible
  • Events that may promote or normalise hate, racism or discrimination of any kind
  • Events that may promote or incite illegal activity
  • Events that are for commercial purposes without a recognisable community benefit

Reporting an event

The aim of the Cable Community Calendar is to promote and support positive community activity in Bristol. If you see an event that may be contrary to this principle please report the event to us by emailing us at calendar@thebristolcable.org with a link to the relevant event and your reason for reporting it. We will then review the event and take any necessary action.
